Terms, privacy and withdrawal — Evidence Watch

Price and period

• The founding-pilot price is EUR 40. No VAT is charged. Stripe shows EUR 40 before payment.
• This is a one-time payment for 90 days of access from verified payment. There is no automatic renewal or subscription charge.
• The founding pilot includes up to 10 active or paused watches and up to 1,000 preserved versions in total during the pilot period.

Check frequency and deliverables

• Active pages are scheduled for one automatic check per day, once at least 24 hours have passed since the previous check.
• A manual check may be started at most once per hour for each watch. Capacity, security and export limits continue to apply.
• The pilot includes a consolidated technical summary and verifiable ZIP packages in parts of up to 25 versions. At most one export part may be prepared per minute.
• Each record describes the collector's observed response and UTC time. It is not independently timestamped and does not by itself prove authorship, intent or cause.

Customer responsibility and acceptable use

• You may monitor only publicly available HTTPS pages for a lawful purpose. Do not use the service for private systems, access controls, security testing, harassment or infringement of another person's rights.
• Do not enter passwords, secret links or unnecessary sensitive personal data in a label or observation criterion.
• The service fetches text-based responses of no more than 1 MB, follows only safe public redirects and does not execute page scripts. Source blocking, CAPTCHA, downtime or changes may prevent a check.
• We may limit, pause or reject abuse, unlawful use, excessive load or attempts to bypass the product's security and capacity controls.

Availability and responsible use

Evidence Watch is a documentation and monitoring service, not legal advice, a security certification or a guarantee that an external page will always be reachable. The customer must review the material before using it for a decision, publication or legal process.

Mandatory consumer rights and liability that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected by these terms.

Contract confirmation and complaints

After successful payment, we create a personal, version-locked contract confirmation in your account before paid service is activated. You can download it as a text file, retain it and reproduce it unchanged. It records the seller, price and tax treatment, contract period, accepted terms version and the terms in force when you purchased.

First complain in writing to the support email above so that we can try to resolve the matter. If no solution is reached and the body's jurisdiction and monetary thresholds are met, a consumer may proceed to the Consumer Complaints Mediation Team at Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark, naevneneshus.dk. European Consumer Centre Denmark can advise on cross-border EU/EEA cases. The former EU ODR platform closed on 20 July 2025 and is therefore not used.

Data we process

• Account and sign-in data received through ChatGPT sign-in, including user ID, email address and, when available, display name.
• Watch data, including public URLs, optional label, observation criterion, status, check times, errors and usage.
• Preserved public-page responses and technical metadata, SHA-256 hashes, signed receipts and integrity chains.
• Payment-related identifiers and status received from Stripe, such as checkout, payment and refund IDs. We do not store the card number.
• Security and operational data required for the service, such as session information, rate limits and webhook events.

Purposes and legal bases

• We process data to create the account and provide monitoring, documentation, downloads, support and payment under the contract.
• We process necessary records to meet accounting, documentation, refund and other legal obligations.
• We have legitimate interests in protecting the service, preventing abuse, verifying integrity and troubleshooting operations. Where consent is legally required, we request it separately.

Processors, transfers and retention

The service uses configured providers for sign-in/hosting, database and object storage, Stripe for payments, and Resend for the transactional contract-confirmation email. Providers may process data outside the EU/EEA where a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards are in place.

Data is kept only for as long as necessary for the service, evidential integrity, security, legal obligations and potential claims. Deletion or restriction may therefore operate differently for account content, accounting records and cryptographic integrity records.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority. Do not include more personal data than necessary in your request.

You are responsible for having a lawful purpose if a public page you choose to monitor contains personal data.

14-day withdrawal and refund

You may notify us that you withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of entering the contract. For the founding pilot, we refund the price paid when the request is received within that period, through the original payment method. Paid-pilot access may then end.

We make the reimbursement without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice. We do not charge a reimbursement fee and use the same payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.

State clearly that you wish to withdraw and provide the email address used for the purchase and, if available, the Stripe receipt or payment reference. You do not need to give a reason.

This clear contractual process does not reduce any longer period, remedy for non-conformity, reimbursement right or other mandatory protection applicable to your situation.

Faults and support

If the service does not match its description, an export cannot be verified, or you have an access or payment problem, contact support with the necessary account or payment reference. Never send card details or passwords.

We assess the issue and repair, re-perform, refund or provide another remedy when the contract or mandatory law requires it.

You may copy this text into an email: ‘To [seller name, physical address and support email]: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my Evidence Watch contract entered into on [date]. Name and address: [complete]. Date and signature [only if this form is sent on paper].’
